COMMENT: So do x-rays show us everything we might need to know? NO! X-rays show HARD tissue (bone) only. Sometimes more detailed images are needed to see the discs and/or nerves. ..At Southern Spinal Rehab, there's nothing mysterious about X-rays. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So I'm going to show you some x-rays of some of my actual patients. You'll see for yourself the importance of "Seeing" what is under your skin! "Read the text in blue"!
This is a side view of the neck. Notice that the 4th through 7th bones are kinda straight instead of curved. This is considered a vertebral subluxation, a misalignment and a loss of the normal curve.
The above x-ray has some problems, but is a "near" normal lower back shot for this example. Can you tell the difference with the one below?
This one is a severe case of scoliosis (Abnormal curvature of the spine). Notice the lateral curve, the wedged vertebra and the spurring on the left. OUCH! Do you think you can see this under your skin without an x-ray? You can't!
